Free Internet Marketing Resources–  Overview

“It’s much easier to double your business by doubling your conversion rate, than by doubling your traffic.” Jeff Eisenberg

Some say- internet marketing is all about content, I say internet marketing today is all about relationships.  Why the shift, why the change?

We don’t have any quick fixes, shiny gadgets, buttons or the newest gigs that bring
instant riches, like some products and websites claim.  Our strategies for your personal growth and development, and your future successes are grounded in you having the right knowledge, skill sets and performance tools so you can do the right things-
right.  Hopefully if you do, you will ultimately live a fuller, richer life with the life style you desire.

When it comes to internet marketing, I’m no genius. It probably took me longer to get my arms around the learning curve than most.  Even now I struggle between the
concept of marketing and the internet. For me the difference is clear. While I’m no techie, marketing today is the internet, even if you are an  offline business model.

I now have several successful businesses online selling consumable products and
information products.  My conclusion after fours years is, the more I learn, the more I realize I don’t know.  But for me, it’s a life long journey, a hobby and a passion.  If this top 50 free skills and performance tools shortens your learning curve, than I have
accomplished my goal to share and educate you.

If you are a small business offline, it’s time recapture the web’s business-expanding
potential with these free resources for internet marketing.  If you are already embracing online marketing, maybe it’s time to grow to the next level. If you are new to online marketing, statistics show that right now over 65% of all consumers look to the web first for local business.  So, offline or online marketing, the internet is a great tool to grow and expand your business.

Free Internet Marketing Resource- The Value

As more businesses realize the importance of a competitive online presence,
corporations large and small, start-ups, government organizations, and
non-profits alike are seeking high level skills and performance tools for
online marketing, to increase online visibility.

Internet Marketing is all about increasing online exposure, attracting new customers and
converting customers online and offline through contents: by attracting customers, educating your prospects by helping them and hopefully converting prospects to customers so a business can increase revenue and profits.

Here is the best of the best free websites and free marketing resources online.

WordPress Top 50 Free Websites 2011 Skills ANd Perfromance Tools

# 1 Ranked Free Internet Marketing Resources Online And Ranked 11 Out of 50-. WordPress Blogging
Software

Using WordPress blogs are very beneficial because they are extremely SEO friendly and
the really good news is-search engines really like and favor them. To me, blogs are like aspirin.  If the drug companies
would have known how beneficial it is, they would keep them prescription so they can charge more for them.  Blogs are just like aspirin-and that they could be the best free internet strategy for the non tech IM Professionals.  I don’t want to mislead you here.  They are equal to websites, and websites are very important.  Websites are a lot more complicated to get right and keep right, and SEO is no simple task either.  This is one of the easiest ways to create profitable websites and adding helpful “plug-ins” makes them even more useful. You can use WordPress blog as a stand alone website with its own domain name or in combination with a regular website; make sure to have them keyword related.  Then post away, add keyword links, images and videos to your posts and just keep doing it. There are plenty of free Plugins and they are great performance tools for internet marketing.

# 12 Free Internet Marketing Resources Online- Free Web Submission

They provide free  manual and auto submission to the highest rated, free Internet Search Engines  and Directories. This is a one stop submission service to get your website  listed in all the internet search engines and directories.  They are listed and ranked according to  popularity. Rankings are determined by Alexa.com and Google.com and are updated  regularly.   You need for search engines to find you before customers can find you easily.

# 13 Ranked Free Internet  Marketing Resources Online- Search Engines/Keyword Tools.

Shows list of related search counts and advertiser competition.  Everyone marketing
online uses this tool frequently.  It’s the first place to see if there is traffic for the keyword, name or phrase you chose for your business or new products.  It gives you monthly search results and global results for how many websites contain that keyword search.  Very valuable tool..

# 14 Free Internet Marketing Resource Online-  Google Analytics

Once you get the traffic, you are only half way there.  Next you need to know what that traffic is doing once it gets to your site, and that is the key.  I use this program to make my online pages perform better and bring in more sales. Skills and performance tools is
everything on the web.  I find Analytics good for fine-tuning my “buy now pages” on all my sites, and just as important, I use it to increase the conversion rate of my traffic.  This has made all the difference in the world in developing my online business.

# 15 Free Internet Marketing Resource Online-YouTube Videos

The numbers are out.  35% is the actual percentage of all searches being conducted in the market today, are actually coming from videos.   Videos are the future of marketing on the web, so using YouTube videos to promote your site or product is a no-brainer.  Videos are another key to SEO tanking.  Here’s why: the reason is mainly because Google will place a popular video on their first page listings, almost instantly.  Some webmasters suggest you shouldn’t use YouTube videos because it will draw traffic away from your site, but I find it’s a fair trade off for the ranking and SEO support it
provides.  Three steps to video marketing:

  1. I always create a video as one of my first steps in an online
    campaign
  2. I launch the videos on an RSS feed
  3. I submit the feed to all social media sites.

# 16 Free Online Internet Marketing Resources Online StartupInternetMarketing

# 17 Free Internet Marketing Resources Online- Alexa

If you are researching competitive keywords, this is a great tool for finding the
links your competitors have on their web. This really makes this a valuable tool, surprisingly, along with sites like Compete, Alexa, this is one of my most valuable information gathering tools.  It may not be completely on point, but it will give you enough relative information you can use to further your marketing goals.

# 18 Free Internet Marketing Resources Online- Ezine Artilces

It’s still about content.  Sure it’s more about relationships, but content is king for finding customers and building relationships.  Provide high valued articles and people will find them and read them.  Article marketing is still my most effective marketing tool on the web, maybe because I used this approach right from the beginning.  I find using sites like free submission sites and directories vital to a complete online promotion.  I know using articles is considered “old school” but this method still works, especially using unique articles with good solid content.

# 19 Free Internet Marketing Resources Online-Animoto

You have to be able to produce videos easily and effectively for you video SEO marketing campaigns.  This free site lets you create stunning video slides.  All you do is create a Power Point Presentation or whatever software you use, save them as jpegs and upload them to Animoto.  You pick the slide theme and the music.  All free videos are 30 seconds, just enough time to get a pointed message of keywords delivered for
Google ranking on videos.  Then, upload them to your YouTube account and…it’s like magic.

# 20 Ranked Free Internet Marketing Resources Online-Internet Resources

This is a pretty comprehensive site.  Here is what I use it for primarily.  This is the most powerful RSS feed management and promotion tool available. The first of its kind for automatically submitting RSS feeds.  No better or quicker way to get your blog, website or video out there than through an RSS Feed.  All you need to do is go to feedburner.com, enter your url and they provide the RSS feed for free.  Along with that, you can also check many of the webs analytical tools for SEO right on their site like your page rank, keyword density, back links to your site.  Critical tools for effective SEO all in one place for free.

Top 10 Free Social Media Resources Online For 2011

“Social media isn’t the end-all-be-all, but it offers marketers unparalleled
opportunity to participate in relevant ways.  It also provides a launch pad for other
marketing tactics.  Social media is not an island.  It’s a high-power engine on a
larger marketing ship.” – Matt Dickman, technomarketer.typepad.com

Everyone is familiar with the hottest social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to
mention two, so you won’t find them listed here.  Our social media list focuses on managing and driving social media.  We include sites for monitoring, trends and analytics, knowledge and managing your social media experience and for the many activities involved with social media.  Our list is all about measuring the effectiveness of your social media marketing.

Social Media-defined-

The term Social Media refers to the use of web-based and mobile technologies to turn
communication into an interactive dialogue. With today’s economic conditions, it
is not enough anymore for businesses to have just an email address or customer
service number on its website.  Customers want to engage with companies in new and authentic ways, and thanks to social media, now they can. From Facebook to Twitter, businesses that embrace social media are finding their new transparency rewarded with new and deeper client relationships.

Free Social Media Resources

When it comes to social media, blogging out trumps them all, and while the great debate over websites and blogs as the best tool for internet marketing continues, I cast my vote for blogging-hands down!   Because of this, I have skewed the social media category towards blogging and blogging posts and have balanced out the winners between skills and tools, with the right skills edging out tools.  The right skills with the right tools for  blogging is again…like magic.

comes to blogging and posts and a blogs structure like headlines, redundancy
seems to be the hallmark in order to maximize your post, your search engine
optimization and your keyword density. Sometimes the best way to getting the message through loud and clear is also to repeat it and revise it subtly, because saying the same thing different ways clicks with some people better.  You will find this post to be true to this footnote for the reasons just mentioned.

Originality is the art of concealing your source- Thomas Edison

employee, manager or entrepreneur, basically anyone wanting to learn new skills.

Here’s a little about me…and I’m not just another pretty face.  My name is George Napoli and I’m a little older and part of the new 40 generation.  I’ve been passionate about entrepreneuring since 1989.  10 years later I had 450 employees and I was
fortunate to sell my business to my Executive Management Team.  In my three year employment agreement before the sale was completed, I initiated a new learning initiative called Insight Career and Professional Development.

Between that program and my online boutique specializing in free coaching
for inventors and entrepreneurs in growth strategies for new business
development, I have trained and coached thousands of employees, managers,
inventors and entrepreneurs in Leadership Training, Six Sigma, New Business
Development and a wide range of subjects, core disciplines and life changing
skill sets like innovation, thinking and creativity.  I thought I retired in 2008, more on this in the entrepreneur category.

In an era of quick decisions, push buttons and scrolling bars, some people like to scan and read the headlines only for their content.  The top 50 list can easily be scanned by
category.  Others like to read more to learn and understand the full storyline.  Either way, the choice is yours.

The internet is a powerful resource that can easily help you learn new skills and find useful tools for being effective and for improving your online marketing performance.  You just have to know where to look.  Sure, you can use Google, Yahoo, or Bing to
search for sites, but we wanted to save you a lot of time and frustration, and

By now you may be asking why we chose- learn new skills and internet performance tools from all the possible subjects available?  And why emphasize employees and entrepreneurs as our target listeners?  In an era of a shrinking economy, 401k’s
reduced to 201k’s and record unemployment levels, people need to become more
self reliant-which drives the entrepreneurial spirit.  That covers why we chose entrepreneurs.  Employees and Managers need new skills to compete in the job market, to perform better and to grow personally and professionally and they need them to run and manage the business they were hired for. That’s why the top 50 list is geared to them as well.

Universal World of Entrepreneurs

Universal World Of Entrepreneurs

Universal World Of Entrepreneurs

Statistics tell our story and these facts don’t lie.  In the Universal World of Entrepreneur’s and Employees, where everyone of us resides, less than 5% of all business owners and managers have all the skills necessary to run or manage a successful business. On the other side of the same coin, that means 95% of employees and entrepreneurs need to enhance their knowledge and skills.  Every one of us competes in this Galaxy no matter what their profession or business.  They include a cast of colleagues and competitors we like to call:  Rising Stars, Fast Trackers, Existing Talents and Wannabe’s.  You can read all about this Galaxy on our blog.

With so much emphasis on consumers becoming self reliant for their own economic well being, it’s important to note that never before in the history of our country, has it been easier for entrepreneurs to start a new business.  Today, entrepreneurs can launch a small business faster and with less upfront capital than ever before.  This is especially true with the explosion of the internet.

The five categories we chose gives all consumers and especially employees/managers and entrepreneurs, the most focused selection of educational skills and performance
tools, with the widest range of utility for success in learning and growing
personally and professionally, for achieving business goals, enriching lives
and improving life styles.  Growing from a Wannabe or Existing Talent to Rising Star and Fast Tracker, should be everyone’s aspirations, and it is certainly within everyone’s reach The top 50 best free websites for 2011 have two dimensions to them.  Some are skill  driven, for knowledge and learning, the others are tool driven for increasing
performance.  They can be used for everything from learning to be a successful entrepreneur, becoming a top performing employee, or for anyone looking to enrich their lives and life styles through learning.

Learn New Skills staff believes it’s a COMBINATION of SKILLS and the most effective “USE” of PERFORMACE TOOLS that will help you grow personally and professionally, and help you become more successful as an online or offline-business bar none.

Before we introduce our 50 candidates and our 5 first place winners let’s take a deeper look at what exactly a skill is and what exactly a tool is, since we use these terms throughout.  It’s important to know and understand the difference between them.

It’s like Magic!!!   And the most important thing to remember…using skills and the right performance tools in combination- is like MAGIC!!!

In our opinion, knowledge comes first, than skills.  And when it comes to skills
and tools, skills out-trump tools every time.  That’s being loyal to our company name: Learn New Skills.  However, when the right high level performance tools for either being more effective, or for online marketing are used effectively, it’s the tools that win and keep you ahead of the competition.  Here is an example of what we mean when we
say- using new skills and tools “in combination” is like MAGIC!.

Top 50 Best Free Websites 2011: Skills And Performance Tools- Like Magic

“Using skills and performance tools in combination is like Magic!   I will relate it in a short story.

I’m playing golf one day in a major local charity outing and one of the prizes is a $350 ticket to a magic show, that if won, would be brought right to your home for you and your friends to enjoy.  I love magic.  I keep searching for the kid within, so I buy
three tickets for a good cause, and place two tickets in the magic show box and
one ticket goes in the hopes of winning tickets to the Yanks vs. The Sox.

Later that evening I learn that I was the winner to the magic show.  So I’m
sharing my story with a friend about winning, and telling my friend how much I
love magic, and that I’m thinking about stopping by the local magic shop to buy
some magic tricks.  Maybe develop a new hobby to entertain myself and close friends.
He laughed, though I didn’t think that it was a particularly funny statement.  It was his comment after the laugh that got me.  His comment brings everything to light.  He said “you can buy all the magic tricks, props and tools you desire, but at the end of the
day, you will never be a magician.”  That is what we call a teachable moment and what we mean by knowing the right skills and using the right tools together…it’s like magic- you become a MAGICIAN!

“Success is never final and failure is never fatal”

When it comes to learning, the best lesson of all is to learn that we need to change our one dimensional orientation towards goals, to a dual-dimension.  When we have a single orientation towards goals like success, the trouble is, once we become successful; sometimes we lose our sense of purpose, drive and motivation.   Not so when you have learning and new skills as part of your goals.  There is something always new to learn and learning lets you grow personally and professionally and lets you take any successes to the next level.

Over the next 5 days, we will release  one category each day starting with free publicity online.  We think the free publicity online category  is one of the most interesting and useful and runs at the heart of any entrepreneur  or new businesses.  Typically, they have  little to no cash and resources.  We end  our top 50 with what we think is the Heart  of the top 50: EDUCATION.  The other  three categories will be revealed in no particular sequence, but are none the less  of great interest and value to all.

In closing I want to share a little insight on the three  things that everyone KNOWS:

Three Things We Know

Three Things We Know

  1. We know what we know
  2. We know what we don’t know
  3. We don’t know what we don’t know

From  this we learn, there is so much more to know.

Like we said in our opening statement:

“No Money? No Problem!”  Using skills and performance tools in
combination is just like MAGIC!!!

We hope you find our top 50 best free  websites for 2011 useful and valuable.

Learn New Skills-Improve Memory Tips That Actually Work

Share
Improve Memory with unique tips

Use these tips for Improving memory

Learn new skills- improve memory

So now that  we know about basic recall and memory from our last post, here are some tips and guidelines to  improve your memory and basic recall.

Learn new skills by paying attention

You can only remember what you have learned and you
can’t recall it if you have not paid attention to it, or made a strong effort to
encode it into your brain. “That what you give energy too grows.”  The more time and mental energy you give something, the more you remember it.  It takes about eight seconds of intent focus to  process a piece of information through your hippocampus and into the  appropriate memory center. That means you can’t do more than one thing when you  need to concentrate! If you distract easily, try to absorb the information in a
quiet place where you won’t be interrupted.

Tailor information you want to retain to your learning style. I’m very visual, and most people are visual  learners; they learn best by reading or seeing what it is they have to know.  But some are auditory learners who learn better by listening. They might
benefit by recording information they need and listening to it until they
remember it.

 Learn new skills-involve your senses

Involve all your senses. Even if you’re a visual learner, read out loud what you want to
remember- if you can recite it rhythmically, even better. Try to relate
information to colors, textures, smells and tastes. The physical act of
rewriting information can help imprint it onto your brain. Relate information
to what you already know. Connect new data to information you already remember,
whether it’s new material that builds on previous knowledge, or something as
simple as an address of someone who lives on a street where you already know
someone.

Learn new skills-all about organization for improving memory

Organize information. Do you want to remember it?  Write it down first.  Write things down in note pads and datebooks and on calendars;  take notes on more complex material and reorganize the notes into categories  later. Use both words and pictures in learning information. Understand and be  able to interpret complex material. For more complex material, focus on  understanding basic ideas rather than memorizing isolated details. Be able to  explain it to someone else in your own words. If you can’t summarize it our  loud, that means you really have not absorbed or understand it completely.

Learn new skills-practice make perfect

Rehearse information frequently and “over-learn”. Review what you’ve learned the same day you learn it, and at intervals thereafter for the next 7-10 days. What
researchers call “spaced rehearsal” is more effective than “cramming.” If
you’re able to “over-learn” information so that recalling it becomes second
nature, so much the better.

Be interested and motivated, and keep a positive mental perspective. Tell yourself that you want to learn what you need to remember, and that you can learn and remember
it. Telling yourself you have a bad memory actually hampers the ability of your
brain to remember, while positive mental feedback sets up an expectation of
success.

Learn new skills- develop a system for improving memory

I use these like a religious person uses a bible.  I have several go to systems when I absolutely have to remember something…and they work.  Mnemonic devices to improve memory. Mnemonics (the initial “m” is silent) are helpful  tips of any kind that help us remember something, usually by causing us to  associate the information we want to remember with a visual image, a sentence,  or a word. Sometimes they are also called moronic systems. Whatever you pay  attention too, you will be better able to recall it so these systems put you on  the right track to recall.

Learn new skills- common devices for memory

Common types of mnemonic devices include:

Visual images – a microphone to remember the name “Mike,” a rose for “Rosie.” Use
positive, pleasant images, because the brain often blocks out unpleasant ones,
and make them vivid, colorful, and three-dimensional — they’ll be easier to
remember. Made up acronyms about the subject matter are great moronic memory
tools to help you recall.

Sentences in which the first letter of each word is part of or represents the initial of
what you want to remember. Millions of musicians, for example, first memorized
the lines of the treble staff with the sentence “Every good boy does fine” (or
“deserves favor”), representing the notes E, G, B, D, and F. Medical students
often learn groups of nerves, bones, and other anatomical features using
nonsense sentences.

Acronyms, which are initials that creates pronounceable words. The spaces between the  lines on the treble staff, for example, are F, A, C, and E: FACE.

Rhymes and alliteration: remember learning “30 days hath September, April, June, and
November”? A hefty guy named Robert can be remembered as “Big Bob” and a smiley
co-worker as “Perky Pat” (though it might be best to keep such names to
yourself).

Jokes or even off-color associations using facts, figures, and names you need to recall,
because funny or peculiar things are easier to remember than mundane images.

Learn new skills-in bite size pieces

Ever hear of the magic of 7?  That’s the largest number most people can remember with ease, and why a phone number is 7 digits long.  “Chunking” information; that is, arranging a long list in smaller units or categories that  are easier to remember. If you can reel off your Social Security number without  looking at it, that’s probably because it’s arranged in groups of 3, 2, and 4  digits, not a string of 9. “Method of loci”: This is an ancient and effective  way of remembering a lot of material, such as a speech. You associate each part  of what you have to remember with a landmark in a route you know well, such as  your commute to work.

When it comes to improved memory, hopefully learn new skills gave you some great insight.
