Using KPI for Google Page Ranking

Google Page Ranking Success Key Is The (KPI) Key Performance Indicators

Google Page Ranking-intro

If you want to be successful at online marketing and make money online, you have to incorporate the KPI into your internet skills to get to the top of Google page ranking.  Every successful internet marketer knows how important these performance indicators are to a thriving online business.  If you don’t know already, it’s all about traffic.  “Traffic is the currency of the internet.”  But knowing about traffic (customers, visitors, etc.) is just the first step and a single dimension.  You must now get your arms around the entire concept of traffic.  Not only attracting traffic, but also converting traffic, knowing where it comes from and what it does once it gets to your website.  The more you know about this component, the better your online marketing performance.

Google page ranking- 4 models online

There are basically 4 different types of online business models.  They do not take into account any business models that are hobby, craft or informational-models that specifically do not have an interest in making money online. The best internet marketers know what business model they have and what drives that models online performance.  So please read this article now to learn what the KPI key performance indicators drive each of the four different online models that will help benefit you and your company.  I will review each business model in series of posts, otherwise, this article will be too long and hard to use.

Let’s take a quick look again at the four business models every online business falls under. It really doesn’t matter what business you are in on the internet, basically, they all fit perfectly into one of these 4 business models.

Google page ranking-4 models online

Here is a quick review since I already covered them in depth is a previous post.  There are the 4 types of business models online, including their short summary:

1. Online Commerce- Any website that sells products, services or information fits into this model.

2. Advertising- The basis for making money on advertising sites is the ability to sell electronic advertising in this model.

3. Lead Generation- The lead generation business presents information about a product or a service in the attempt to gather contact information from the visitor.

4. Customer Support- The customer support business model is typified by a website designed to help visitors answer questions and is integrated into one of the other models already discussed.

Here are the key performance indicators for online commerce.  Certainly e-commerce is the most prevalent type of business model online and where most of the money is made and spent and most are at the top of Google page ranking.

Google page ranking-Online Commerce

Since it is equally important to retain customers and acquire and convert new visitors, the online commerce model draws performance indicators from each phase of the customer life cycle.

Ratio of New to Returning Visitors. The ratio of new to returning visitors is a fast reference to describe the effect of your marketing mix on driving visits (Visitors – Visit Frequency).

Percent New Visitors. Because an online commerce model depends on a near-constant input of new visitors, monitoring the percentage of new visitors to your site is extremely important (Visitors – New Visitors).

Page “Stickiness”. For key landing pages on your website (home page, marketing response pages) you will want to ensure that visitors respond to marketing materials but get no further than the first page (Navigation – Entry Page, Exit Page).

Referring Domains. Keeping track of the top 10 or so websites that are sending you traffic will help determine whether online business partners are performing as expected (Referrers – Referring sites).

Search Keywords and Phrases. Keeping track of the top search engine words and phrases that are driving traffic to you will help you ensure that your featured product mix is one that inbound visitors are actually looking for (Referrers – Search Keywords, Pages Found on Keywords).

Percent of Visits Under 90 Seconds. Dramatic changes in this percentage can indicate either much better or much worse reach in your marketing campaigns. Both should be responded proactively (Pages – Page Stickiness).

Key Conversion Rates. Any and all key conversion rates, such as home to purchase, search to purchase, shopping cart and checkout completion should be monitored closely.

Average Order Value. Watching for significant movement in your average order value can identify changes in either your customer or available product mix, both of which should be responded to proactively. Also monitor AOV for new and returning customers (eCommerce – Average Order Size).

New and Repeat Customer Conversion Rates. Again, here you are watching for dramatic changes that may indicate changes in your customer base or product and marketing mix.

Sales per Visitor. A good point of comparing with your conversion rate to help you ensure that as your incoming traffic increases your site-wide conversion rate stays roughly the same (eCommerce – Revenue per Visit).

Percent Returning Visitors. Much like monitoring the percent of new visitors to the site, watching how the percent of returning visitors changes will help keep track of visitor retention (Visitors – Frequent Visitors).

Customer Retention Rate. Again, similar to keeping track of returning visitors, monitoring the percentage of returning customers is useful in determining how effectively you retain customers (Visitors – Frequent Visitors).

It is important to keep in mind that these performance indicators are only a subset of all available metrics. Your online business may have different specific reporting needs and you should work to include those indicators that are most useful to you.

Google Page Ranking- Case study introduction

On May 1st I announced the start of a case study to review the mini websites I bought through an affiliate program called Bring The Fresh.  On April 25th 2012, I registered the domain name http://www.signsofaspergerssite.com  An exact match was not available, but the right keywords were required so we got as close to it as possible.

Google page ranking- what’s been done to date

Since that time, three articles have been entered to the blog, all are keyword driven with the domain name in the title.  Along with that, several articles have been written and submClick Here!itted to several article directories.  Also, I personally did a video and posted it to Youtube.

Google page rank- the initial plan

As was discussed earlier, the plan is to wait until the mini website starts to rank in Google.  Thus far, not quite a month we are now 61st in Google page ranking and my video on Youtube is in Google page ranking at 51.  In the next thirty days we should see some sizable moves in our Google page ranking.

Google page ranking- the goal

The key is to get to the first page of Google, ideally the first spot on the first page.  As we make progress towards our goal I will keep this updated.  You will see first hand how this is going and how you can do the exact same thing at a very affordable price.

Google page ranking- the final plan

Our final plan is to monetize the site as an Affiliate, meaning we pan to make money with it by offering an affiliate product..  A product has been identified and as we monetize the blog down the road, the actual product name will be revealed.  That is why our privacy policy has been detailed, as well as our compensation policy, to stay in line with standard practices for Affiliate Marketing.

Google page ranking-mini websites done for you

Is a product that is available to customers of the Bring The Fresh Program.  This is an affordable mini site where they do all the work including guarantee their performance.  They research the keyword and that is one of the best features about the product.  Sometimes these mini web sites are closed for sale.  Key is to jump in when they announce that they are open.

New Skills- Blogging Using Authority Or Expert Bloggers- Learn The Difference By Learning New Skills

Learn New Skils Blogging

New Skils- Blogging

New Skills – why blog about blogs?   www.learnnewskillsblog.com

Recently I posted an article about the different types of websites available on the internet.  The feedback was very positive.  Most people never knew the various types of websites and most of you found it helpful when you searched online.

New Skills-the two types of blogs in simple terms

There are basically two types of blogs out there in the blogosphere:

1 is an authority blog

2 the other is an expert blog

New Skills – how to tell the difference

An authority blog spends their time linking out to expert sites.  It goes something like this.  Hey readers, check out the great information on monetizing your blog at www.checkemout.com.  They bring value some value to the contents, but what they are really doing is sending you to an expert on the subject, or certainly someone that had more life experience with the subject so they can offer deeper experience to  the subject in the way of contents.  The long and short of an authority site is to redirect you to the expert so they use what we call- outbound links.

The opposite site of the same coin is the expert blogger.  These bloggers deliver invaluable content, rich dynamic information and real life experience  about the subject you queried when you searched online.  Expert blogs have links coming in to them.  For example, want to learn new skills, then we are the expert blogging site and other bloggers send their readers to read more of what we write about on any particular subject.

Learning New Skills– why it matters to understand the difference

So who cares you ask?  Remember this.  Learning a new skill and skill development is all:  Proficiency, that is acquired or developed through training or experience. A developed talent or ability, something you learn: research skills.

Research is the number one thing people do online.  Sometimes they spend hours and hours researching a subject and even then find limited information.  Think about that.  If you can improve your online searching, you save yourself time and more importantly, find the information you are looking for.

One more thing about new skills andthe types of bloggers and blogs.  Don’t mistake a hyperlink as an outbound link.  Hyperlinks are used for people to find the key words they may be searching to find this particular article.

It’s also important if you want to go to the original source of the subject, the resident expert-  per say.  Then you know whatever else you read there will be rich content, right on point and all in one place.  Most people who search online line do not want to be redirected to other sites.  They are searching for specific information and want to find it one click, not click after click to oh yeah…here it is after 30 minutes of .spinning your browser and wasting your valuable time.

Next time you are on a new blog for the first time, notice if the blogger sends you somewhere else for the basic information, or for more information.  If they do, chances are they are authority bloggers.  Also, when you finally do find everything you want and need on the subject, you know they are an expert bloggers and return to them down the road for more information.

Learning New Skills– who to use expert and authority bloggers

Keep two lists in your favorites area: one for authority blogger the other for expert bloggers.  The next time you search for information, go back to your expert bloggers first.  Chances are if they cover the subject of interest, you will be sure to find everything you need there.  If you need more insight, than you can go to your expert bloggers and see where they take you.

Hopefully knowing about this new skill will help you be better at online searching.

New Skills- The 7 Criteria To Determine If Your Business Has The Power To Generate Great Wealth

New Skills- determine if your business meets the 7 criteria to generate great wealth

New Skills- The 7 Criteria To Determine If Your Business Has The Power To Generate Great Wealth

New Skills– skills defined again in broad terms

Let’s refresh our memory about what a new skill is again.  A skill is the ability to use one’s knowledge effectively and readily in execution or performance.  Learning new skills like determining if your business concept can generate great wealth is just as important as having accounting knowledge and skills to manage the cash of your business.  Maybe even more important, since you can always hire these basic types of skill sets, but making the determination about the true success of your business model is a new skill you want to possess upfront, not after the fact.

New Skills- Can My Business Model Generate Great Wealth?

So you want to know if your business concept or current business can provide you great wealth.  Will it be hugely successful, or just another ho hum business that drains your energy, sucks up all your free time and provides little return for your efforts?  Or can it at least generate the income you desire to live the life style you choose?

Learn New Skills– a blueprint for generating great wealth in a business

So now you’re asking yourself, is there a blueprint to determine all of this?  Can I find the criteria all in one place and know it will actually determine my success in business?

Well my good listeners, the answer is categorically yes, if you can in fact pass the litmus test.  In fact, I’m so sure that if you can answer yes to any 6 of the 7 questions, I will jump in with you, both feet to joint venture that success if you need help.  Or I will point you in the right direction, to get the help you need.

Before we move forward, let’s look back at history and see what has prevailed in the past and you will see that having the right criteria is essential, no matter what idea or concept you have.

New Skills –statistics tell another story

Typically, approximately 50 % of all business ventures fail in the first year. This number has also been held to increase dramatically in the first five years of running a business, when the number is claimed to rise to as high as 90 to 95 %.

The numbers from the latest research conducted by the Small Business Administration tell a different and more encouraging story. According to the SBA, about two-thirds, or 66 percent last past the first two years, leaving only a third of businesses that fail within these two years. Extended to four years, the number of surviving businesses decreases to only 44 percent, meaning that about 56 percent of businesses fail at the five-year mark.  That is a big difference from the 90 to 95 % previously claimed.  So there is hope.

New Skills- The 7 Criteria Required For A Business To Generate Great Wealth

  1. Is it formulaic- is it a proven formula that others have used to generate great wealth
  2. Does it have large business scope- meaning it is scalable to large proportions: regionally, nationally, globally
  3. High Margins- in excess of 2-3 times cost at a minimum
  4. Low startup investment- based on affordability to you
  5. Professional license required- such as Engineer, medical or professional
  6. Revolutionary- your product or service has never been seen or used before
  7. New, unique and effective- a better twist on something that others have seen or used before, only much more improved

New Skills- The answer yes to 6 of the 7 criteria to generate great wealth

Now, take an unbiased look at your business or business concept.  Chances are if you can’t answer yes to any 6 of these criteria, your opportunity to generate great wealth are significantly diminished.  If that is the case, see what you can do to change your business model so that you can answer yes to these criteria if you want to generate great wealth.

New Skills-  what if I fall short

If you cannot answer yes to 6 of these questions, maybe your business model still have the potential to generate the income your desire to support your lifestyle.  Do what you can to revise the model and address each of the criteria one at a time.  That will surely you give you the best chances for superior results.
